EZ Map software

EZ Map is software that enables you to set up maps and routes quickly and easily – with no programming needed.

EZ Map is a dual purpose system designed for advanced robots with lidar capability. It offers a web app that can be accessed from any browser on both mobile and desktop.

The first part is a system for local low latency video streaming, which gives you a live view from the robot’s camera. You can drive the robot around for testing and mapping without a person present beside it.

unnamed
The second part is for mapping, which is made using the lidar as the robot drives around. You can view the map in the web app itself. You can add movement goals to it. You can define routes for the robot. You can start executing those routes either from the app, by a trigger (say a battery level, a marker detection, date and time etc.) or through the API. The system supports saving and loading various maps and routes on demand.

Each goal can also be augmented to allow for custom actions like changing the robot’s speed, waiting, running terminal commands, doing additional rotations and more. It’s an ideal platform for adding custom actions needed by a specific application.

In addition, EZ Map is unique – in areas where there are few lidar reference points you can augment your map with fiducial markers to improve reliability. So it will work where other algorithms will fail.

Refer to the manual for an extensive rundown of usage and functionality. It’s the fastest and easiest way for you to get your mobile robot performing your application.
